Roger Sandal has an extended coverage of how words are constantly misused by the Left. He gives example after example to show how straight descriptions of almost anything seem to be beyond Leftists. Unfortunately, these leftist distortions have now become widely used and serve their purpose of distracting attention from what is really going on. Roger Sandall notes that the “clash of civilizations” which we are now allegedly watching between the Western and the Islamic world could more accurately be described as a clash between civilization and the lack of it. Is it civilized to cut the clitorises off female children and to crash planes into buildings full of innocent people going about their lawful business? Not so long ago everyone would have instantly identified such things as barbaric, not civilized.
