CROSSDRESSERS FOR DAVIS

While Californians may think that governor Davis has more important things to worry about, such as bypassing the California Constitution, he never fails to pander to a special interest group, no matter how small or bizarre. He signed into law this bill:

This bill imports the definition of gender from hate crimes statutes that prohibit violence against any person on the grounds of gender or perceived gender into the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), thereby extending the FEHA prohibition against discrimination to that based on perceptions of an individual's gender, regardless of whether the perceived gender characteristics are different from those traditionally associated with the individual's sex at birth.

Got that? Here it is in English:

Employers MUST let cross-dressers wear clothes that match whatever gender they want!

Now we recognize that many Californians, especially Donks, have never grasped the concept that employers might have rights, but this is ridiculous.

One wonders... does that include any one of the Vissian's three genders?

Thanks to California Insider.
